Technology Enhancements
DRC has introduced several new components to the DRC INSIGHT Portal for DRC BEACON. The new Portal components replace existing applications and provide enhanced functionality and performance improvements:
- Rostering: Rostering replaces Student Group Management and is used to associate students with teachers for test registration and reporting.
- Registration: Registration replaces Test Management and enables teachers to assign assessments to students on rosters.
- Student Information System (SIS) Connection: For districts using Infinite Campus SIS connections, if classes are defined in the SIS, corresponding rosters will be automatically created and available in DRC INSIGHT.
New Instructional Strategies for Educators
The DRC BEACON Educator Instructional Strategies (BEIS) are now available! These new resources provide teachers with specific ideas and strategies to support their students and are directly linked to the standard(s) in the student’s learning progression report. The BEIS are available in English language arts and Mathematics at each grade level and are linked in Interactive Reporting.
